Carols & Cookies

Be part of our holiday tradition at the historic Jamesport Meeting House again this year. Celebrate the season at "Carols and Cookies" Friday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m. with the Riverhead High School Chamber Chorus, now under the baton of Bonnie La Gatta. The chorus will perform seasonal selections and lead attendees in a sing-along of popular carols, followed by cookies and mulled cider in the Lecture Room. Suggested $5 donation for adults. Children and cookies welcome.

Slavery on the North Fork

The North Fork Project team, which has been researching the history of slavery on the North Fork, will present its findings at the Jamesport Meeting House on Wednesday, November 16 at 7 p.m. Open to the public. There is no charge, but donations will be accepted to support the project.  

Four Cellos from the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra

The Meeting House’s premier 1731 Series returns this season with a quartet of four cellos from the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra on Sunday, November 6 at 4 p.m.   The concert will include works by Rossini, Bach, Mozart and Meeting House board member Peter Susser.   The 1731 Series features professional musicians from the metropolitan area and honors the year the building was constructed, making it the oldest public building on the East End of Long Island. Fiddle and Clawhammer Banjo Workshop: Sunday, July 17th 12-1:30 p.m.

“Sunday's session will be for both fiddle and clawhammer banjo. We'll learn a couple of tunes with some technical details for each instrument, but also jam a few just for fun.
