Fiddle Workshop: Saturday July 16th 3-4:30pm

“If you can just play a few simple old time fiddle tunes, or if you're an experienced player, this workshop will be useful and fun. We'll take a couple of classic tunes apart to understand what makes them sound unique and old timey. Starting first with short melodic phrases which we'll play into our muscle memory, we'll add advice about bowing, then double stops, ornamentation and build it from there. Piano Four-hands with Charlotte Day and Jeffrey Wentz  

Pianists Charlotte Day and Jeffrey Wentz will perform a recital of music for piano four-hands at the Jamesport Meeting House on Sunday, June 19th at 4pm. Jamesport Meeting House Chorus

The Jamesport Meeting House Chorus, under the direction of George Moravek, will be back on Sunday, May 15 at 4 p.m. with a concert of Stephen Sondheim music. There is a suggested $20 donation. An Evening of Haydn and Schubert Performed by Members of the New York Philharmonic

A string quartet comprised of members of the New York Philharmonic will perform at the Jamesport Meeting House on Saturday evening, May 7th, at 7:30.    The concert, which will feature the works of Haydn and Schubert, is part of the venue’s 1731 Series, marking the year the building was constructed and making it the oldest public building on the East End of Long Island. We are so excited.  Carols & Cookies will be back!  Once again the wonderful Riverhead High School Chamber Chorus voices, under the baton of Dena Tishim, will ring through the 1731 Jamesport Meeting House.
