This award-winning quartet is admired for its fresh interpretations of classical music and has been hailed for its <strong>\u201cedge-of-the-seat performances,\u201d by the <em>Boston Globe,<\/em> which called the Borromeo \u201csimply the best.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Inspiring audiences for more than 25 years, the Borromeo quartet features Nicholas Kitchen, violin; Kristopher Tong, violin; Melissa Reardon, viola; and Yeesun Kim, cello. These artists push classical music boundaries and are noted for being the first string quartet to utilize laptops on the concert stage which allows them to perform solely from four-part scores and composers\u2019 manuscripts, a technique these artists teach to students around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The program will feature the String Quartet No. 25 in C Major, Op. 20, No. 2 by Franz Joseph Haydn; Three Pieces for String Quartet by Igor Stravinsky; and String Quartet No. 14 in A-flat Major, Op. 105 by Anton\u00edn Dvorak.<\/p>\n<p>The concert is part of the Meeting House\u2019s premier \u201c1731 Series\u201d that brings internationally acclaimed musicians from the metropolitan area to Jamesport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The digital tide washing over society is lapping at the shores of classical music.
