(Route 25), in Jamesport. The lecture, by local historian, Richard Wines, will present the area\u2019s history going back to the indigenous peoples who inhabited the area before the first European settlers arrived in the early 1600s. Mr. Wines will explain how the area was previously part of Southold, called Aquebogue, and how the hamlet came to be renamed Jamesport.
