On Thursday, May 30 at 7:30 PM, young artists of The Perlman Music Program (PMP) Chamber Music Workshop will present a Chamber Music Concert at the Jamesport Meeting House, featuring string quartets from the Age of Enlightenment. This concert will be PMP’s inaugural performance at the historic Jamesport Meeting House, the oldest public building on the East End of Long Island and a vibrant performance and event space on the North Fork. Free and open to the public; doors will open at 7:00 PM.

Directed by esteemed cellist and teacher Merry Peckham, the Chamber Music Workshop is a unique opportunity to hear the future superstars of classical music at home on the East End. Young artists ages 18 and up are invited to Shelter Island to devote three weeks to studying masterworks of the chamber music repertoire within a nurturing and supportive environment. Since 2003, the Chamber Music Workshop has become a cherished part of the East End’s cultural life. For more information about The Perlman Music Program, visit
