In honor of the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth, Christopher Magyar will perform three piano sonatas, one each from the composer’s early, middle and latter periods. The concert is Sunday, February 23 at 4 p.m. with a suggested donation of $15, free for students.
Born in the United States, Magyar spent over 35 years in Germany in a music-based career before returning to live in Mattituck two-and-a-half years ago. He has performed as a soloist and accompanist at Town Hall and Carnegie Hall, as well as at venues throughout Europe. He has recorded extensively and is currently the accompanist for the North Fork Chorale.
This will be a great way to open the winter season at the Jamesport Meeting House.
Bookings are closed for this event.
